We’re hiring a few positions for the 2022 season

Every position requires positive, hard-working, excited, passionate individuals who are able to show up on time, listen to direction, give feedback, and work as a team with a spirit of constant improvement. Work happens in all weather and can be challenging. People of all physical sizes are welcome to apply, but be sure to be brutish in nature. Communication skills are a must as is teamwork and the ability to lift heavy things (50 lb). Grunting is always welcome and sometimes admired.

Hours for all positions are 7:30-4 with 30 min for lunch and a rest. Compensation starts at $14/hr and also includes a CSA share and a gear stipend.

Packager • This position is focused on packaging our beautiful herbs for grocery store customers. Labeling packaging, packing the herbs and prepping deliveries. It’s a job where you can blast some music or listen to a podcast and fly through the work. Requires 3 days per week including Monday and Thursday and your choice of a third day. This role can be combined with other farm roles to make a full time job. This position starts mid April and continues through November.

Field Crew • This position has the most variety. Greenhouse seeding, potting, pruning & trellising. Field planting, weeding, trellising, and harvest, harvest, harvest. Also includes washing and packing. Requires 4-5 days/week in order to build the right set of skills.

Harvester • This position is focused on, you guessed it, harvesting! It can be done 2-3 days/week and is really focused on getting crops into the wash house. It’s a great workout and pretty amazing to see the (literal) fruits of your labor stack up. This is a high season position only — June-September.

Delivery Driver • We have two delivery shifts - Tuesday and Friday. Work begins at 7:30 and ends when you’re done but can be paired with other roles on the farm to create a bigger job. Delivery sites include Madison grocery stores and restaurants as well as CSA customers throughout the Madison area. We use a fancy little app to guide you in the driving, have a cool delivery van and a radio to rock out with. Must be a responsible human with a clean driving record. This position starts mid-April and runs through November.

Wash/Pack Lead • This position is focused in the pack shed and has primary responsibility for washing veggies, and packing wholesale orders and CSA Shares. There is a ton of help from the rest of the crew but this position is the go-to wash/packer. Also includes time harvesting and doing other field work.

Packager • We grow a wide variety of culinary herbs that we package and sell to grocery stores. We need someone to specialize in labeling clamshells and packaging herbs. This may also include cherry tomatoes. Monday and Thursday work are required, other hours are negotiable.
